  • John Dunk

    DIRECTOR

    John Dunk has over 30 years’ experience in fire protection. After establishing the European business of Textron Inc. in 1981 their epoxy intumescent fire protection product Chartek went on to become the world’s leading epoxy intumescent fire protection material and today is the most extensively used product of its type globally.

    To establish the new epoxy intumescent technology in the offshore oil and gas market John became involved in the establishment of new test procedures and standards supporting offshore operators, engineers and designers.

    Following a long career in passive fire protection and protective coatings, with global responsibility for one of the leading coatings manufacturers, John established PFP Specialists in 2018.

  • Dr. Ian Bradley

    DIRECTOR - PhD MEng MSc MIFireE

    Ian has many years of practical experience across a range of passive fire protection areas and specialises in aspects of testing for ‘hydrocarbon’ and ‘cellulosic’ fires, including test design, assessment of test data and liaison with certification issuing bodies.

    Ian also initiated the software side of the business and has created various tools for thermal modelling, data analysis and prediction of product performance.

    He is member of numerous standards committees and is abreast of developments in certification and standards regulations. Key committees include: -

    • ASFP TG1 Chairman

  • Dr. Allan Jowsey

    DIRECTOR - PhD CEng MEng FIFireE PMSFPE MASCE

    IFE Level 3 - Passive Fire Protection

    Allan is a Chartered Engineer with over 15 years of experience as a Fire Engineer with his main area of expertise being structural fire engineering. His experience covers development of fire strategies, simplified and advanced modelling approaches, passive fire protection, regulatory approvals, academic research, participation in international technical committees and standards development bodies in both the commercial infrastructure and oil and gas markets.

    He has extensive technical knowledge of heat transfer and structural fire engineering, together with experience of advising architects, consulting engineers, contractors and fabricators around the world on Fire Engineering solutions that meet the needs of their respective approvals regulations with a specific focus on passive fire protection arrangements and optimisation. This has enabled him to develop a good knowledge of British Standards, Eurocodes, AISC codes, FABIG and oil and gas codes and design guidance documents.
